3 Easy Musical Resolutions for 2018

It’s that time of year when everyone is talking about resolutions.  Losing weight.  Exercising.  Spending more time with family.  Working less.  The list goes on.  How about adding something that plays well with all of our usual resolutions – and may make them easier to keep!

RESOLUTION #1  Sing More.
This doesn’t have to be hard.  Sing in the shower, sing in the car, sing along with your favorite radio songs.  Or if you want to step it up take a look at this ted talk on the subject.  SING YOURSELF ALIVE –  it is amazing!

RESOLUTION #2 Create some play lists
Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music makes it easy to sample lots of music you might not otherwise notice.  Those songs that come up and make you stop to listen, you want to keep those and put them on a list that will make your heart and soul sing.

RESOLUTIONS #3 Make (or renew) your commitment to foster your Child’s natural love of music!
Making, listening to and playing music is wonderful for all people.  I would be remiss however, if I did not take this opportunity to say that the window for benefitting from playing, making, and listening to music is open the widest in the very early years of childhood and again at the very last years of life.   It really is never too early or too late to play music.
